Mikel John Obi Joins Chinese Super League Club, Tianjin Teda

Super Eagles Captain Mikel Obi has written an emotional open letter to Chelsea where he referred to the teammates’ technical crew of the club as his ‘family. John Mikel Obi wrote the letter as he prepares for a new career adventure with Tianjin TEDA in the Chinese Super League.
The twenty nine year old who joined Chelsea football club from Lyn Oslo after a controversial transfer from Norway that involved Manchester united made three hundred and seventy four appearances for the London side scoring six goals in the process.
In a ten paragraph letter to the club before his departure, John Mikel Obi gave special thanks to Mr. Roman Abramovic the chief executive of the club, previous coaches with whom he achieved so much success and lastly the fans who he described as the “Blues Big family”
The formal plateau united player won eight trophies with Chelsea which include two League title, four FA Cups the prestigious UEFA Champions League and EUROPA cup.
John Mikel Obi expressed optimism of a better future as he joined his new club Tianjin TEDA at a point where the Chinese super league is just taking off.

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Imo state has continued its raid on independent petroleum marketers who sell fuel above the government approved price of 145 naira per litre. During its routine monitoring of four Local Government areas in Imo state Aboh, Ezinihitte, Ahiazu Mbaise and Obowo Local Governments, seven filling stations were sealed due to hoarding, under-dispensing and selling above regulated pump price. Senator Isiaka Adeleke Dies At 62

A member of the Nigerian Senate, representing Osun West Senatorial district, Isiaka Adeleke, has died at 62. A family source who spoke to Channels Television under the condition of anonymity, said Adeleke died at Biket hospital in Osogbo at 6:00am on Sunday. When his corpse was brought to his home in Ede town, the atmosphere became tense with friends and family members weeping uncontrollably. As at the time of filling the report, the body had been taken to the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo for autopsy. Mr Adeleke, who was the first governor of the state in 1992, under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), was elected into the Senate in 2015 as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Passengers Accuse Dana Air Of Neglect After Port Harcourt Mishap

The passengers of the near crash landing of Dana Plane at Port Harcourt International Airport are lamenting over what they describe as utter neglect being experienced since the incident occurred. According to them, no one has come forward to explain what transpired yesterday evening or inform them about how to access their luggage. One of the passengers also informed our correspondent that contrary to reports, the plane landed normally, but could not explain what happened thereafter. Meanwhile, Dana Air has refuted claims that they (passengers) have been treated with neglect.
