Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Construction: Ogun Govt. To Provide Alternative Route

The Ogun State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr Lekan Adegbite, has assured commuters that alternative roads would be provided to ease traffic jam caused by the construction work ongoing on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Briefing reporters in Abeokuta on Tuesday, the Commissioner, however,  appealed for discipline among commuters who ply the road.
He assured them that adequate traffic controllers had been provided to ensure sanity.“More security men have been deployed to ensure adequate security against miscreants who dispose commuters of their valuables, he said.
The state government reversed its earlier decision to disallow Julius Berger Construction Company from working during peak period on the long bridge portion of the  expressway due to the traffic being experienced by commuters on the stretch of the road
The reconstruction work on the affected area is expected to be completed by the end of November this year.
