Pope Francis Urges Polish Youths To Accept Migrants

Pope Francis has urged hundreds of thousands of pilgrims in Poland to show compassion for migrants.
He told young people gathered in Krakow that “a merciful heart opens up to welcome refugees and migrants”.
But analysts say this statement puts him at odds with Poland’s anti-immigrant right-wing government.
It is Pope Francis’s first visit to Eastern Europe, with Poland being the home of the late Pope John Paul II.
Pope Francis has also offered a private prayer at the former Auschwitz Death camp.
He walked alone and in silence around the concentration and extermination camp in what was nazi-occupied Poland where 1.1 million people, mostly Jews, were killed.
The Pope later met elderly survivors of the camp, kissing them on the cheeks and speaking to them softly.

During its routine monitoring of four Local Government areas in Imo state Aboh, Ezinihitte, Ahiazu Mbaise and Obowo Local Governments, seven filling stations were sealed due to hoarding, under-dispensing and selling above regulated pump price. Senator Isiaka Adeleke Dies At 62

A member of the Nigerian Senate, representing Osun West Senatorial district, Isiaka Adeleke, has died at 62. A family source who spoke to Channels Television under the condition of anonymity, said Adeleke died at Biket hospital in Osogbo at 6:00am on Sunday. When his corpse was brought to his home in Ede town, the atmosphere became tense with friends and family members weeping uncontrollably. As at the time of filling the report, the body had been taken to the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo for autopsy. Mr Adeleke, who was the first governor of the state in 1992, under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), was elected into the Senate in 2015 as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Passengers Accuse Dana Air Of Neglect After Port Harcourt Mishap

The passengers of the near crash landing of Dana Plane at Port Harcourt International Airport are lamenting over what they describe as utter neglect being experienced since the incident occurred. According to them, no one has come forward to explain what transpired yesterday evening or inform them about how to access their luggage. One of the passengers also informed our correspondent that contrary to reports, the plane landed normally, but could not explain what happened thereafter. Meanwhile, Dana Air has refuted claims that they (passengers) have been treated with neglect.
