Ahead of Buhari’s commissioning; Amaechi, Oyegun inspect Abuja-Kaduna rail line

In preparation for commissioning on Tuesday by President Muhammadu Buhari the Minister of Transportation, Mr Chubuike Amaechi yesterday went on inspection tour of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line and was ambushed by the passengers while on inspection he could not but submit to the plea of the passengers who were at the stations .
Ameachi led a team of All Progressives Congress (APC) with the National Chairman of Chief John Odigie Oyegun, on the inspection tour.

Clinton Admits Making First Speech Wasn’t Easy

Hillary Clinton, in her first public speech since her surprising loss at the U.S presidential election held on November 8, 2016, has admitted that making the appearance “wasn’t the easiest.” Speaking at the Children’s Defense Fund’s “Beat The Odds” Gala on Wednesday night, Clinton emotionally reflected about the 2016 loss and how she wished she could tell her mother, who decades ago was abandoned as a child, that her struggles were worth it because of what her daughter had accomplished. “I will admit, coming here tonight wasn’t the easiest thing for me,” Clinton said. “There have been a few times this past week where all I wanted to do was curl up with a good book and our dogs and never leave the house again.” She however chose not to wallow in defeat and instead turned to what she will focus, on going forward. Soyinka Condemns Call To End BBOG Activities

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has condemned the call for the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaigners to end their actions. Professor Soyinka says the attempt by security operatives to stop the protesters is not in the interest of democracy. He stated his disapproval on Thursday at an event in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. He Nobel laureate insisted that the BBOG campaigners, who are campaigning for the rescue of the missing Chibok girls, were merely expressing their democratic rights rather than constituting public nuisance.
