Court Orders Forfeiture Of Yakubu’s $9.8m To FG

A Federal High Court in Kano has ordered the forfeiture of the sum of $9,772,000 and £74,000 recovered from a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr Andrew Yakubu, to the Federal Government.

Wike Calls On Nigerians To Support Families Of Slain Officers

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has called on Nigerians to make direct investments in the lives of legionnaires and the families of late servicemen, who lost their lives defending the territorial integrity of the country. The governor made this known on Friday while speaking at the 2017 Emblem Appeal Launch marking the Armed Forces and Remembrance Day Celebration in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He said the families of slain servicemen and legionnaires deserve all the support they can get from the people. “There is need for us to give them the required support. We must take legionnaires and families of slain servicemen as important as we take ourselves. “This is because they fought for this nation. Abuja Airport Closure: FG Promises Adequate Logistics Arrangements

As the preparation to re-route the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to Kaduna International Airport due to planned repairs on the runway, the minister of state for aviation Hadi Sirika has appealed to Nigerians to show understanding. He says the federal government’s decision is in the best interest of the safety of passenger and airline operators. Hadi who stated this today during Aviation stakeholders’ forum in Abuja also said security and transportation arrangement have been put in place to ensure effective movement of air travelers to Kaduna.
